DF biographies
Jeremy S. Vernier (President/Director) Jeremy began his dance training at the age of nine. His studies include classical and contemporary ballet, modern, jazz, lyrical, tap, hip-hop, clogging, ballroom, swing, yoga, pilates, gymnastics, and various types of ethnic dance. Venues of study include Center for Creative Studies, Marygrove College, and the prestigious Edge Performing Arts Center in Hollywood, CA. He has studied under many notable artists including Iacob Lascu, Jordeen Ivanov-Ericson, Lloyd Storey, Rhonda Miller, Keith Clifton and Al Gilbert. Jeremy has performed and/or choreographed for Dance Detroit, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Joel Ruminer's Dance Camps, and Eisenhower Theatre Ensemble. Jeremy is a competitive dance judge and a certified instructor/state board member of the P.D.T.A. (Professional Dance Teacher's Association).
Christine Vernier (Vice President/Instructor) Christine holds a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree from Wayne State University. She has been married to Mike for 34 years and has three sons. Christine passed her Cecchetti student ballet exams at a young age, and is currently instructing Creative Movement and Pre-Dance classes.
Erick Diffin (Office Manager, Director of DF Vocals & Dramatics) Erick has studied the art of music for several years under professors from University of Michigan, University of Miami, Michigan State University and several other reputable institutions. His devotion to music and theatre has received him several key roles in musicals and concerts, as well as solo performances. He taught himself how to play the piano at the age of 10, and started his directing career at the young age of 15. Since then, he has directed several musicals, as well as written several songs and one act plays. He was a member of an exclusive choir in his hometown of Flushing. In 1996, he was a part of a humanitarian effort, in which he circled the globe using his musical and dramatic abilities to raise the spirits of those underprivileged people in places like: Thailand, Russia, Ireland, and France. |
